Thermal Shock Testing
Thermal shock is a very important test for determining the reliability of a product when subjected to sudden changes in temperature and how this stress source can accumulate deterioration or physical damage in performance.
If your product is installed on an aircraft it can experience rapid changes in temperature during landing and takeoff. Components within industrial manufacturing equipment and electronic enclosures can see rapid temperature changes upon system start-up.
Electronic temperature sensors, engine-mounted electronics, satellite components and aerospace hardware should be thermal shock tested for reliability. Thermal shock is a superior test over thermal cycle testing for circuit boards, to determine the reliability of solder joints and interconnections.
We perform thermal shock testing to a variety of specifications such as MIL-STD-810, MIL-STD-750, MIL-STD-202, MIL-STD-883 and RTCA DO-160.
